Dracunculus Vulgaris,  Arum LILY
Dracunculus vulgaris has a large solid dark purple spathe with a BLACK spadix.
This lily has large-fan shaped leaves and a purple spotted stem, after blooming in late
spring the flowers form green fruits which eventually turn orange. The whole plant is
spectacular and very exotic looking, plant it where you can enjoy the beauty without having to
smell the blooms. These are collector's favorites.

Prized collector's plant, but easy
to grow.  Total plant height is 3- 4 feet.  Blooms in June here and goes dormant soon after.
Give this bulb plenty of room as the leaves are large and will shade out nearby plants.

Lily ready to bloom from a 3 year old bulb. The larger
and older the bulb gets the  larger the flower will be
and most often older bulbs may set more than one
After the plant has gone dormant ( October) we
gently dig to find the mother bulb. One the main
bulb are 10 or 20 babies, we snap these off and
transplant them for next year. They will come up in
the spring and we sell the live baby plants
