Depending on your soil conditions, dig a hole 3-4" wider and about 2" deeper than the root mass of your plant. If your soil is a heavy clay, it is recommended to amend it with either potting soil or fine compost/mulch. Put your plant in the hole and fill with soil (amended if required).

Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of lime around the drip line of the tree.

Water until soil is saturated, then gently push the soil around the plant.

Lightly mulch around the tree.

To achieve optimum success, it is recommended that you fertilize 3 times a season using a slow release fertilizer. (14-7-7 or equivalent) around the end of March, July 1st and October 1st. SPRINKLE AROUND THE DRIP LINE OF THE TREE, DO NOT MIX IN THE SOIL!

Note: The important thing is to keep nitrogen (the first number) lower than 19% and the phosphates and soluable Potash about 1/2 of the nitrogen).
