Mimosa tree
Colorful landscape tree is from Asia and Africa. It was introduced in 1745 as an ornamental tree. People
plant it in their yards to add beauty to their surroundings A Deciduous tree attractive to many birds

called a Silk tree. It grows to an average of 20-30 feet.
A mimosa tree has fern-like leafs with fragrant deep-pink, pin-cushion pom-pom like flowers. This tree is
cold hardy and once established it is drought tolerant. It will take about 3 years to flower.
Potted trees $10.00- $20.00
You can visit Maple Mountain Tree Farm if you live in Missouri (or close to St. Louis) and pick out
the tree that is just right for your yard and make a purchase. We are about 50 mile SW of St. louis.
We started out as a wholesale Hobby Farm. We are a small family owned & operated tree farm.
But with the rising cost of transportation our wholesale buyers wanted us to continue reducing
our price due to the rising cost of transportation.
When we noticed they turned around and increased the retail price also, for the same
reason.......we decided to stop the madness.
SO we are selling directly to the public at below
wholesale prices.
