Royal Empress Tree.
Japanese Paulownia
fastest growing tree

The benefits of this tree are boundless and
amazing. Grows from 4" to 30' In Just Three
Years! A gorgeous  Shade Tree with lots of
lavish lavender-blue flowers every spring.
These are easy to grow plants grow well in
ZONES 5-9 and can take temperatures from
-15 degrees to +110 degrees.
They are valued for their handsome foliage
and beautiful blossoms that have a gentle
scent like Jasmine
Not only do they absorb ten times more CO2
than any other tree but also, it soaks up
toxicity in the air, dirt, and water and then
expels a massive amount of Oxygen because
of its massive leaves. It is safe to say that
the Paulownia Tree is the fastest growing
tree on the planet. When planted from a seed
and grown for 8 years, it will be the same size
as a 40-year-old Oak tree.
Paulownia is poised to be the new timber
tree of the 21 century. China is the country of
origin of the fantastic trees.
Due to current severe changes in our Earth’s
environment, it has become clear that the
human race must transform rapidly and do
something equally as tremendous in order to
maintain a well-balanced existence with our
Planet. One of the most effective and natural
methods for detoxifying our Planet comes to
us with magnificent gift from China. These
trees have been revered by the Japanese &
Chinese for centuries, but their popularity is
just catching on in the rest of the world.

Photo above Taken July 2008. We planted 2, 6
inch sprouts in the fall of 2007. It grew about 20
feet in less than a year. The other 1 only grew
to about 3 feet tall but we did not amend with
compost and sand. So amending the soil really
makes difference. They are hardy & will grow in
any soil, but the growth rate will be slower. We
have since moved the other one into an
amended area and hope to see the same giant
take off as the one shown here.

We routinely read stories of old growth Paulownia trees being
worth thousands of dollars. Paulownia trees are one of the most
valuable hardwoods grown in the US. Much of this wood is
shipped to Japan where they revere Paulownia for its beauty
and pay large sums for it.

Traditionally, when Chinese couples have a daughter, they plant
a Paulownia tree. When the daughter is ready to marry, they cut
down the tree and make a dowry chest, furniture and other items
out of it for wedding gifts. Cut trees will grow back.

Paulownia can survive a wildfire because the roots can
regenerate new, very fast-growing stems.

Paulownia trees are believed to bring Good Fortune to the
household and all who enter.

Known for its large leaves and foxglove-like flowers. The bark is
rough, gray-brown, and interlaced with shiny, smooth areas.
Stems are olive-brown to dark brown, hairy and markedly
flattened at the nodes (where stems and branches meet).
Paulownia timber is a pale whitish coloured wood with a straight
grain.

Paulownia Trees are drought resistant once established.
Their roots tend to go deep into the ground in search of
water, rather than on the surface. This makes planting around
the tree easy and makes it friendlier to nearby walkways or
fixtures. It can take up to 3 years before you see the tree
bloom.

Unlike some fast growth trees that have short life spans, a
healthy Paulownia Tree can live for 80 to 100 years.

These trees are generally grown from seeds and roots and
are not the same quality as our trees that are grown from
tissue culture, which yields a perfect clone of the parent
plant, and are disease resistant.
This is a tree that you will have for the rest of your life.

It can grow 10-12 feet in its first year. It will ultimately reach a
height of 35 to 40 feet.

This is an Ornamental as well as a Landscape Tree. The huge
leaves of range from 5 to 12 inches long and 8 inches wide, but
on rapidly-growing stems or young trees, they can reach a length
of 2 or 3 feet and almost as wide. They have lobed edges and a
velvety soft feel.

In the spring just before the leaves unfurl, 8" to 15" inch clusters
of bright and fragrant flowers are produced. Paulownia Trees are
excellent shade trees, and virtually pest-free,

Limited quantities available until our crop sets flowers which =
seeds.

Each season our trees are held in 3 gallon pots and range from
12-18 inches in height. These are $45.00. Unfortunately shipping
costs went up so much last season W cannot give a shipping
estimate until the trees are pulled & weighed in the spring.

We do not have a greenhouse, all of out trees are field grown.
Then potted trees are buried each fall, allowing our trees to
grow in True Seasonal conditions (zone 5). This makes for a
stronger healthier tree and has given our customers a 100%
success rate because the tree suffers a lot less shock when
transplanting.

Up coming trees for spring will be grown from tissue culture & are
started indoors. Tissue culturing produces exact clones of the
parent tree and are more disease resistant. These are in much
smaller pots and range from 3-6 inches tall before they are ready
to plant outdoors $25.00
3 gallon pots $50.00

If you have researched the Paulownia you know they are fast
growing. Under ideal conditions and planted properly a 6 inch tree
can reach 10 feet tall the first year.
